Cine America began as a conversation between a few friends—film lovers, curators, and programmers from different corners of the Americas, who felt that the cinematic voices of their home countries weren’t getting the spotlight they deserved.
What started as informal screenings in small spaces quickly grew into a vibrant movement to showcase the rich, layered, and often overlooked stories from across North, Central, and South America. Bound by a shared love for cinema and a belief in its power to connect cultures, they decided to build something bigger: a platform to celebrate the full spectrum of ALL American film.
